She has trained with the Minnesota Dance Theater, Zenon School of Dance and participated in the Guthrie Theater's Outreach program. Her choreographic background includes musical theater and swing choir for the Bloomington School District, most notably spending 17 years choreographing choirs for James Bontrager of Kennedy Senior High School and recently working with the Burnsville Senior High School choir. Although Judy has performed professionally, her main focus has always been on dance education, owning her own dance studio for 19 years. She retired her business in 2000 to spend more time with her family. Participation in the Dakota County Vocational Mentorship Program soon led to joining the staff at Mauri's. She finds it very rewarding to share her knowledge with each special student. "The students at Mauri's have a wonderful atmosphere in which to nurture and grow as dancers and people. Mauri believes in providing dancers with the necessary tools to help them achieve their goals in dance and real life!" said Saaski-Emerson. Judy is proud to work with people who care.
