This is an extremely high energy
style of dance. This dance style is precision based and students must
learn to dance as a team and not individuals. Flexibility is important
and worked on in every class. Kicks, prances, running, jumps, formation
work, splits and level changes are all necessary and must be done in
unison. A basic technical knowledge of jazz and ballet technique is
also necessary for a finished look. Constant repetition, determination
and discipline is required for this class to be successful.
Endurance, strong upper bodies and
abdominals are essential for success. Russians (toe touches), pirouettes
and flexibility are required. A strong background in Jazz is recommended.
